Engagement Photos and Fall Scenery

By admin • October 17th, 2008

This past couple weeks has been scheduled with Engagement Photo Sessions. At Tim Brya Photography we Include, in all our Wedding Packages, a set of Engagement Photographs, although we can also set them up as a portrait package too. This along with the Fall scenery coming into play, and both sessions being shot at Allerton Park, made for some really beautiful portraits.

The first couple, Andrea and Randy, had scheduled there wedding for Sept-09 and thought it was a good idea to shoot the engagement photos the same month this year. This was a great idea and something for anyone else trying to plan ahead to consider. We had spent a few hours together, getting to know each other, as well as the location. Allerton Park is a beautiful backdrop, especially this time of year. As we discussed the wedding plans and explored, the couples personality and expectations were apparent. We had found that everything we will need for the wedding shoot was within 100 yards of the ceremony.

The second couple had planned on just starting with engagement photos. Stacy and Scott were prepared with a couple outfits and ideas of their own. As we strolled through the grounds we played with many ideas and quite a few spots for fresh scenery and perspectives. I have known the couple for a few years now, which made this shoot a little easier, and their love for life and each other comes through in the pictures.

Each Engagement package usually is scheduled for morning or afternoon shooting. This allows for the sun to be both high in the day and lower in the morning or evening. With a location like Allerton to work in there can be so much to use as background. It can be fun and exhilarating to explore, and allows time to get to know each other. The smiles turn from nervous to authentic and the portraits then retain the feelings of the special moment, to share with Family and Friends. This is what draws me to this type of Photography, the people.

Hey Tim,
Thanks so much for taking our engagement pictures. They are perfect!

Being an artist I have images in my head of how I want things to look. And I am often disappointed that others can’t see these. You understood what I was talking about but then you came up with poses and backdrops that blew mine out of the water! Awesome job. These are keepsakes that we will have the rest of our lives.

It was a lot of fun working with you too. You were so patient with Scott, who wouldn’t stop kissing me, and Alex, our six year old grandaughter, who is…what can I say…six.

Your style, command of the situation, and use of equipment is exemplary.
Thanks again,
Stacy McDade

These portraits are very well done. Good work! As a photographer, I’m always on the lookout for new ideas. I’ve greatly enjoyed glancing through your photography. Keep up the creativity!
